Membership
The Crossings takes church membership very seriously. It is not merely about signing on a dotted line and being added to a role sheet. True church membership is about joining a family that is united in belief and purpose in order to share Christ with the world and with each other. We have a common belief about God and His word. We are also united in values, which stem from our theology and God given vision. These converge to empower our overall mission to be light amidst the darkness – this is the mission to which God has called His church. Unity, discipleship, accountability, and God-honoring, gospel-extending ministry are formed inside the cohesion of Biblical church membership.
Becoming a member of The Crossings is a two-step process, the Membership Class & Membership Coffee. The Membership Class is our opportunity to share our history, beliefs, and the direction of our church. The Membership Coffee is our opportunity to hear your story and rejoice with you.
Membership shows the world that we are united behind one universal cause—proclaiming the name of Jesus to a broken world. It is not about being exclusive or judgmental. It is about being willing to stand with your fellow Christ follower and commit to doing life together. It is about exuding a servant’s heart, putting others above yourself, and taking a stand for the one who took a stand for you.
