Trailblazers – Walking the Path of Commitment
In our Trailblazers series, we’re exploring what it means to go “all in” for Jesus and His mission. Just like trailblazers forge paths for others, we’re called to commit fully to following Christ, serving others, and building His Kingdom. This series serves as the foundation for our membership class, and we’d love for all our regular attenders to join us each week as we take this important journey together. Let’s walk the path of faith, purpose, and commitment as a church family!
Day 4: Expectations of Church Members
As members of the church, we are expected to trust our leaders, protect the church’s unity, share in its responsibilities, serve in ministry, and support the church through regular attendance and giving. These commitments ensure the church’s health and effectiveness. By fulfilling these expectations, we contribute to the church’s mission and help create a vibrant and supportive community for all members. Our active participation in the life of the church demonstrates our commitment to Christ and His body.
Ephesians 4:11-13 (ESV): “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
Reflection: Reflect on your current involvement in your church. Are there areas where you can increase your commitment, such as serving in a ministry or supporting the church financially?
