Who is Your Daddy and What Does He Do?
This Father’s Day message takes a fresh look at the story of the prodigal son, not from the son’s view but from the heart of the father. In Luke 15, Jesus paints a picture of a father who does not just wait at the door. He runs to meet his son with compassion and grace.
Whether you have wandered far or stayed close but grown cold, this message is a reminder of the kind of Father God truly is. He lets us go, but He never stops loving us. He moves toward us, not away. And He loves all His children, no matter their story.
Come discover what it means to know who your Father really is and how that changes everything.
Day 5: You Do Not Have to Fix Everything Before Coming Home
Reading: Isaiah 1:18
The prodigal son came home dirty, empty-handed, and ashamed. But he came home. And the father embraced him immediately. He did not ask for an explanation. He did not demand an apology first. He saw his son and ran to him.
That is the invitation we receive from God. We do not have to fix everything. We do not have to carry our guilt or clean ourselves up before approaching Him. He wants us to come now. Just as we are. Because His love is greater than our failure, and His grace is ready to welcome us in.
Reflection: What is one area of your life that feels too messy or broken to bring to God? Will you take a step today to come home to Him, trusting He will embrace you as you are?
