Dear Church Family,
I’m so excited to be the one who gets to wrap up our first ever member class this week by discussing what the church is and is not as well as what you can expect of the church as new members and what the church expects of you.
It has been an amazing time this month getting to know your faith stories and what spiritual gifts God has given each of you and I look forward to us all working together with a renewed sense of vigor and mission for the church.
In the meantime, I want to take a moment and share some exciting news with you all. Firstly, I want to recognize some people in our church and the roles they have stepped in to.
Mr. Brandon Mueller has agreed to take on the role of church treasurer. He is now working in conjunction with our accountants to keep the church finances running smoothly. This is big commitment, and I want to personally thank Brandon for his willingness to serve in this much needed position.
Next, we have Miss Samya Watkins is taking on the role of the worship director intern. In this position Samya will help Maggie lead the worship and tech ministries and is being trained specifically to be sent out as the worship director for the next church planting team.
Greg and Mary Ann Nails have graciously commited to lead the church Altar Call Ministry. Together they will be available both before and after church to pray with anybody who needs it as well as being available at the altar to pray with people every Sunday during our time of response.
Mr. Brandon Nathan has committed to being our Community Outreach Missionary. In this position Brandon will work with the church elders to plan and promote community outreach events, as well as train and assist us as a church to do outreach to those in our community who suffer from homelessness and drug and alcohol dependencies.
Miss Regan Brown has committed to running the church’s Social Media Ministry. Under the guidance of Pastor Phil Regan will be in charge of all of the churches social media accounts making sure that the church is posting regularly and that everything posted is on “brand” for the church and has consistent messaging.
I am so very excited to see the fruit of these new ministries as we grow and start seeing change in our community.
