The Unlikeliest Hero's Sacrifice: Celebrate Easter with Us This Sunday

Hey Crossings family!

This Sunday is Easter—the day that changes everything.

After walking through the arrival, power, message, and sacrifice of Jesus in our Unlikeliest Hero series, we now come to the heart of it all: the resurrection. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. Hope is alive.

Our Easter message, The Unlikeliest Hero’s Victory, will celebrate the power of Jesus rising from the grave and what that means for every one of us. We’ll look at Matthew 28:6, where the angel says, “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Those words aren’t just history—they are hope.

If you’ve been walking through a hard season, carrying doubts, or feeling far from God, Easter is an invitation to start fresh. To believe again. To come home.

Join us this Sunday at 11:00 AM at The Crossings Church, meeting at the Steadman-Keenan American Legion in Brunswick. Bring your family, bring your questions, and bring a heart ready for good news.

He is risen. And because He lives, we can live with purpose, peace, and unshakable hope.

Church Health Report: We are Growing!

Dear Church Family,

As I reflect on the past few months, I am filled with gratitude and awe at what God is doing in our church.

Since November, we have seen our weekly attendance more than double—from 20 to 44! Our average Sunday now welcomes nearly 35 people, and if this trend continues, we could be worshiping with around 90 people by the end of the year. That’s incredible!

But these numbers aren’t just statistics—they represent lives being touched, families being welcomed, and a community being built for the Kingdom of God.

I want to thank each of you for your prayers, your commitment, and your willingness to be part of something bigger than yourselves. This growth is a direct result of your faithfulness.

One of the most exciting signs of health is what we’re seeing in our younger generations. Back in November, we had no teens in attendance.

Today, we regularly have 5 to 9 teens joining us on Sundays. These teens are not just joining us but they are actively serving and giving financially.

Every Sunday you will see our teens running tech, singing on the worship team and helping pass around the connection plates.

Additionally every Sunday night after Sunday Funday and Youth Services they stick around to help clean up the Legion and put everything back the way it is supposed to be. Im proud of our teens!

And our children’s ministry has grown from just 3 to as many as 10 children in a single service! Families are being reached, and this is all without a permanent Children's Ministry Director or a real place to even hold a proper children's church!

Moving to a "family" style children's ministry has not been without its challenges but God is good and both the children and us adults are handling the change well.

With this exciting momentum comes a clear need: we must expand our volunteer leadership. Our kids and teens need loving, consistent leaders.

We need to build hospitality and follow-up teams with fresh hands and hearts to serve. If God is stirring your heart, please connect with Pastor Justin—we need you!

Let’s continue to build together. Let’s keep showing up, serving faithfully, and loving one another well. I believe the best is yet to come, and I can’t wait to see what God will do through us in the months ahead.

With love and excitement,

Pastor Justin Wyckoff
