Lives Are Changed Here—For Real
Let me shoot straight with you for a minute: God is changing lives at The Crossings Community Church, and it’s not preacher hype. Yes, I know every church says that, but I’m not interested in spiritual buzzwords or empty promises. I mean actual, God-sized change, tough, gritty, inside-out transformation that only He can pull off.
Nobody drags themselves out of bed on a Sunday hoping for just another polite message or a cup of coffee. We want to see something happen. We’re tired of dragging around the same old hurts, the same old chains, the same old disappointments. We want marriages restored. We want depression to give way to hope. We want to see people walk in freedom from the baggage they thought they’d carry for life.
But don’t just take my word for it, look at what the Bible says: “We have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him…” (Colossians 1:9–10, ESV). That’s what we pray for every single week. And God is answering.
We’re seeing it, in small groups, in worship, in casual moments over coffee. I’m watching God heal broken marriages, bring comfort to the grieving, and set people free from patterns that used to suck the life right out of them. And listen: transformation isn’t some overnight snap-of-the-fingers miracle. It’s often slow, messy, and sometimes two-steps-forward, one-step-back. But it’s real, and it keeps happening in our church family.
And here’s the key, we’re not taking credit for a second. This isn’t about a slick sermon a catchy song, or a clever event. It’s Jesus. Plain and simple. Everything good, every changed life, every healed relationship, every burst of hope, traces back to the work of the Holy Spirit. We pray because we know God hears. We gather because we believe He really is at work.
If you wonder if God can still move, or if prayer changes things, come and see for yourself. We’re not perfect. Far from it. But if you’re hungry for real change, and willing to be honest, there’s room here for you, no games, no performance.
I want to encourage you, wherever you are in your journey: don’t settle. Don’t give up if you aren’t seeing the lightning-bolt miracle. Watch for the small victories. Celebrate the breakthroughs, big and small. Don’t underestimate what God can do with your story, He might use it to encourage someone else on their hard road.
So, let’s keep pressing in, family. Let’s expect God to move not just in the big stuff, but in the daily grind. At The Crossings, lives are changed because Jesus still saves, heals, and restores, and He’s not done yet. Yours could be next.
See you Sunday, come expecting.
