Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Day 4: The Cost of Discipleship

Scripture: Acts 4:19–20
“But Peter and John answered them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.’”

Reflection:
Peter and John risked opposition because their allegiance was to Christ, not to people. Following Jesus may bring misunderstanding or ridicule, but He is worth it. Bold discipleship means living for His approval above all else.

Prayer:
Father, give me courage to follow You even when it costs me something. Let my loyalty always be to You first.

Challenge:
Ask yourself: Where am I choosing comfort or approval over obedience to Christ? Take one step of bold faith this week.
