Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Day 1 – The Church Needs Servant Leaders

Scripture: Acts 6:1–4

Devotional Thought:
The early church was growing fast, and so were the problems. Greek-speaking widows were being overlooked, and the complaint was real. The apostles did not ignore it, and they did not try to fix everything themselves. Instead, they led the church to appoint qualified servant leaders to handle the daily distribution so the elders could stay focused on prayer, preaching, and shepherding. Healthy churches do not rest on a few overworked leaders. They share the load through qualified servants who protect unity and care for people.

Reflection Question:
Where have you expected “the pastor” or “the elders” to do everything instead of seeing leadership as a shared calling in the body?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for designing the church as a body, not a one-man show. Raise up servant leaders in our church, and help me see where I can serve instead of just watch.
