Home for Christmas

What does it really mean to come home for Christmas?

The story of Jesus’ birth is often told in warm, familiar ways, but behind it is a journey filled with exhaustion, uncertainty, fear, and waiting. Mary and Joseph didn’t welcome Jesus in comfort or familiarity. They welcomed Him far from home, under pressure, and without knowing what would come next.

These posts explore the birth of Christ through the lens of longing for home, not just a physical place, but the deeper sense of peace, rest, and belonging we all crave.

If you are tired, anxious, or feeling far from where you want to be, this reflection invites you to slow down and consider the hope, comfort, and rest Jesus offers, not only someday in heaven, but right now.

Day 4: The Kingdom Is Here

Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7

Devotional Thought:
The kingdom of God is not only something we wait for after death. It is available now through prayer, gratitude, and trust in Christ. God offers peace that cannot be explained by circumstances.

Reflection Question:
What anxieties are you holding onto that God is inviting you to release?

Prayer:
Lord, I bring my worries to You. Fill my heart with Your peace and remind me that I belong to You.
