Finding God in the Wilderness

This five-day devotional series invites you to slow down and sit with Psalm 63, walking alongside David as he seeks God in the wilderness. Each day focuses on a different aspect of knowing God, not just with information, but through desire, dependence, trust, and lived faith. The devotionals are written to help readers reflect on what it means to want God more than comfort, to value His presence above circumstances, and to discover that true satisfaction is found in Him alone.

Day 1: A Soul That Wants God

Scripture: Psalm 63:1

Devotional Thought:
David begins this psalm with desire, not desperation. Even in the wilderness, his first instinct is not escape but pursuit. He does not say he wants relief or safety. He says he wants God. This kind of hunger does not come from comfort. It comes from knowing that God Himself is the source of life.

Reflection Question:
What do your prayers reveal about what you want most right now?

Prayer:
God, teach me to want You more than solutions. Awaken a deeper hunger for Your presence in my life.
