Our Leadership

Rev. Justin Wyckoff
Pastor/Elder
Justin was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, where he spent most of his life before entering full-time ministry. With over a decade in ministry he brings with him bringing with him a heart for discipleship, strong leadership experience, and a steady commitment to building gospel-centered community.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Grand Canyon University (2017) and a Master’s degree in Apologetics from Luther Rice Seminary (2019). Before coming to Maryland, he served as a Youth Pastor in churches across Colorado and Tennessee.
At The Crossings, Justin serves as an elder and the lead pastor. His ministry focus includes administration and church operations, as well as preaching and teaching.
Justin is married to his wife, Maggie, and together they are raising six wonderful children: Sean, Kevin, Alekzander, Micah, Malachi, and Annabel. When he’s not tending to ministry or family, you’ll likely find him in the garage restoring his 1947 Plymouth low rider, spinning a favorite vinyl record, or cooking something delicious to share with loved ones.

Mrs. Maggie Wyckoff
Worship Leader
She has been actively involved in church ministry since the age of 13, serving in various volunteer and leadership roles across multiple areas. Maggie holds a Ministry School certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
In addition to her role at The Crossings, Maggie is a dedicated wife and mother. She and her husband, Pastor Justin Wyckoff, are raising six children and homeschooling the four still at home. She also teaches 7th grade through Classical Conversations and runs a part-time life coaching business focused on helping women grow in purpose and spiritual wholeness.
Outside of ministry and teaching, Maggie enjoys working out, writing, and spending quiet time reflecting on God’s faithfulness.

Ms Samya Watkins
Worship Ministry Intern
Her vision for worship ministry is centered on leading the congregation in a God-focused worship experience. She aims to create an atmosphere where the entire congregation can engage in meaningful worship by clearing the way for the Holy Spirit to move. Samya emphasizes singing to God rather than just singing about Him.
She looks forward to serving alongside the young women and men of the ministry as they sing and give praise to the Lord!
How Leadership Works at The Crossings
At The Crossings Community Church, we follow a model of elder-led governance, which reflects the biblical pattern seen in passages like Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5, and 1 Peter 5:1–3. In this model, qualified elders lead the church by shepherding the congregation, providing spiritual oversight, and making key ministry decisions in alignment with Scripture and the mission of the church.
The members of The Crossings entrust the elders with responsibility for both spiritual leadership and day-to-day operations. This is not a hierarchical system, but one marked by mutual submission, shared authority, and a commitment to servant leadership.
Justin serves under the spiritual authority of Pastor Josh McClain, the Lead Pastor of our sponsoring church, Hagerstown Church, who also serves as an elder at The Crossings. Pastor Josh provides accountability, encouragement, and an external perspective to help our local team stay grounded and healthy.
Together, this elder team leads the church with prayerful discernment, humility, and a shared commitment to Christ and His people.
