The Unlikeliest Hero

He Didn’t Look Like a Champion… But He Won the Greatest Fight in History.

The world expected a warrior, a king with power and might. Instead, Jesus came as a servant, stepping into the greatest battle of all time—against sin, death, and the forces of darkness. He fought not with fists, but with sacrifice. The enemy thought he had won. But then… Sunday came.

Day 3: The Strength Found in Surrender
Jesus’ victory began with surrender, not resistance. In Gethsemane, He prayed for the cup to pass but ultimately submitted to God’s will. This act of surrender is a powerful example for us to let go of control and trust in God’s plan, even when it’s difficult. Surrendering to God does not mean giving up; it means entrusting our lives to His capable hands. Through surrender, we find strength and peace, knowing that God is working all things for our good.

“And he said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.'” (Mark 14:36, ESV)

Reflection: What is one area of your life where you are holding onto control? How can you practice surrendering this area to God today?
