UNstoppable: The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

y 1: A Real Resurrection

Scripture:
Luke 24:36-43
“See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

Reflection:
Jesus does not leave room for vague spirituality or mystical metaphors. He makes it clear that he rose in a real, physical body. He invites his disciples to touch his wounds and even eats a piece of fish in front of them. This is not the stuff of legend. It is the foundation of our faith. If the resurrection really happened, then everything Jesus said about life, death, and eternity matters more than anything else.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for proving your love through the cross and your power through the empty tomb. Help me remember that your resurrection is not a myth, but a fact that changes everything.

Challenge:
Ask yourself: Do I treat the resurrection like a historical reality or a religious tradition? What would change if I really lived like Jesus is alive?
