Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Day 2: Christianity Is Built on Eyewitnesses

Scripture:
Acts 1:1-3
“He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.”

Reflection:
Luke’s writing is filled with detail for a reason. He knew skeptics would ask questions. That is why the Bible records that Jesus appeared to over 500 people after his resurrection. These were living witnesses when these accounts were written and circulated. In a world full of misinformation, Luke gives us verifiable history. Our faith is not blind. It is rooted in truth.

Prayer:
God, thank you for giving us a faith we can trust. Help me respond not with doubt but with confidence in your Word and with boldness in sharing your truth.

Challenge:
Spend time reading Luke or Acts and notice how detailed the writing is. Let it strengthen your confidence that the Bible is not a myth but anchored in reality.
