Unstoppable:The Church on Mission
The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.
Day 3: Obedience Brings Breakthrough
Scripture:
James 1:22
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Reflection:
Obedience isn’t always flashy. Sometimes it’s as simple as saying yes when God nudges your heart. But delayed obedience is disobedience. The blessing and breakthrough often come after we step out in faith. When Peter healed the lame man, it wasn’t because he had a plan—it was because he obeyed in the moment.
Prayer:
Father, help me stop hesitating when you speak. Give me faith to obey quickly and fully, even when it feels uncomfortable.
Challenge:
What has God been prompting you to do that you’ve been putting off? Take one concrete step toward obedience today.
