Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Day 1: Expect Suffering, Embrace Peace

Scripture: 1 Peter 4:12–13
“Do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you… But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings…”

Reflection:
Following Jesus comes with joy but also with trials. Suffering for His name is not a sign that something has gone wrong—it’s a confirmation that we belong to Him. In the middle of it, God gives peace that makes no sense to the watching world. That peace becomes a testimony of His presence.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to see trials as opportunities to share in your life and reflect your peace to others.

Challenge:
Identify one current difficulty and pray for God to use it as a witness of His goodness.
