Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Scripture: Acts 7:55–56
Big idea: When your world is shaking, you need a steadier place to look.

Stephen’s situation is chaos, but Stephen is not chaotic. Why? Because his eyes are somewhere else. He looks up. He sees the glory of God. He sees Jesus standing.

That detail matters. Jesus standing. It’s like heaven rises to honor Stephen’s faithfulness. It’s like Jesus is saying, “I’m with you. I see you.”

Some days the most spiritual thing you can do is lift your eyes. Not into denial, but into trust. Not pretending life is easy, but remembering Jesus is present.

Prayer: Jesus, lift my eyes when fear tries to pin them to the ground. Remind me You are near.
Call to action: Write down one thing you’re anxious about. Then write, “Jesus is still standing,” over it.
