Unstoppable:The Church on Mission

The book of Acts is the story of how the Holy Spirit used ordinary people to launch an extraordinary movement—the Church. From Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, the mission of God moved forward through bold preaching, sacrificial living, and Spirit-empowered obedience. That same mission is still alive today. In this 15-week series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and discover how God wants to use us—right here, right now—as part of His unstoppable plan to bring hope to the world.

Day 4: The Gospel Brings Joy to a City

Scripture: Acts 8:5–8
Devotional Thought: Philip proclaims Christ, and the city changes. People are healed. Darkness is driven out. Joy spreads. The gospel is not just personal comfort. It reshapes communities. It brings hope where there was despair and clarity where there was confusion.
Reflection Question: What would it look like for your campus, job, or neighborhood to experience “much joy” because of Jesus?
Prayer: God, make me a person who brings the light of Christ into the places I live and work.
