Who is Your Daddy and What Does He Do?
This Father’s Day message takes a fresh look at the story of the prodigal son, not from the son’s view but from the heart of the father. In Luke 15, Jesus paints a picture of a father who does not just wait at the door. He runs to meet his son with compassion and grace.
Whether you have wandered far or stayed close but grown cold, this message is a reminder of the kind of Father God truly is. He lets us go, but He never stops loving us. He moves toward us, not away. And He loves all His children, no matter their story.
Come discover what it means to know who your Father really is and how that changes everything.
Day 4: God Desires Relationship Over Rule-Keeping
Reading: 1 John 1:9
Obedience matters, but not more than relationship. God’s heart is not looking for people who follow rules out of fear, but children who walk with Him in love. He gives us commands to protect and guide us, but He never asks us to clean ourselves up before coming home.
Through Jesus, we are invited into forgiveness and restoration. When we confess our sin, God does not push us away. He forgives, cleanses, and draws us near. His desire is not performance. It is presence. He wants us home, just as we are.
Reflection: Are you trying to earn your way back to God by fixing yourself first? Can you trust His invitation to come home today just as you are?
